THE ViTALLOW STORY
I'm Lauren McCoy, mother of two from New Braunfels, Texas, and the creator and obsessed user of ViTallow.
ViTallow was born from my personal quest for effective, chemical-free skincare. After years of struggling with cystic acne and melasma, I became frustrated with commercial products that did little to help, and if anything did more damage to my skin. My skin was constantly dry and damaged from working construction (yes, you read that right) over 15 years in the Texas sun, and none of the solutions I tried provided lasting results. Things worsened after I gave birth to my son and I was diagnosed with psoriasis on my face and other areas of my body. My skin and confidence hit an all-time low, and I knew something had to change.
That’s when I first discovered tallow. This time-honored remedy was a game changer. My skin felt deeply moisturized for the first time, my melasma began to fade, and I finally found a secret weapon to help with my psoriasis flare ups. Seeing my own results, I became obsessed and knew I had to share this discovery.
What began as a personal project quickly grew. Friends and family noticed my skin transformation and wanted products for themselves. Before long, ViTallow was born. With encouragement from my neighbor Sam and her daughter, who have been an incredible support, I decided to turn my passion into a business. Today, ViTallow remains a family-centered operation. My bonus daughter, and my neighbor’s daughter, have helped with many steps of the process, inspiring the creation of our Mini Marketers program, empowering young girls to explore entrepreneurship and gain valuable skills.
